We also have a family Clarity Statement that gives us clarity, energy, and passion for a brighter, bigger future.
We consciously train our minds and bodies to "unconsciously act in harmony" with our family Values & Vision. We practice gratitude for everything in life and make our gratitude greater than our success. And we deal "above the line" by taking responsibility and accountability, rather than "below the line" in shame, blame, and justification.
We have created family traditions that help our family maintain close relationships and cultivate our family values. We have also researched our ancestors and appreciate their legacy and how their lives can impact our own and future generations.
We have identified the relationships that matter most in our lives and consistently spend quality time with those people.
We strengthen our priority relationships with honesty, trust, communication, appreciation, repair, forgiveness, etc.
We seek to strengthen our bonds through meaningful experiences like Family Retreats With a Purpose, regular gatherings, etc.
We prioritize sufficient sleep and engage in regular exercise, mobility, and physical wellness routines.
We maintain nutritional eating habits while limiting or abstaining from the consumption of habitual, addictive, or harmful substances.
We care for our mental health through prayer, meditation, and time with family and friends—and we seek support if/when struggling.
We have identified the talents and Exceptional Expertise that we have been gifted, and we cultivate and multiply them for the benefit of others.
We involve our family in giving generously of our time and talents to the charitable causes that are in alignment with our Values & Vision.
We support others within our circle in developing and sharing their talents.
We have outlined the Intellectual Dimension values that matter most to us on our family's Values & Vision Statement (e.g., study, literacy, rationality, critical thinking, creativity, etc.).
We understand and realize that we are responsible and accountable for our own happiness and success and look to see the opportunities in every challenge. We make our confidence greater than our comfort by seeking out knowledge and wisdom from others.
We are proud of the reputation that we have developed and live accordingly.
We personally pursue and support our family in completing traditional and/or vocational education throughout schooling years.
We pursue personal or professional continuing education throughout our lives. We also work with advisors, mentors, coaches, and mastermind groups who help us enhance our Exceptional Expertise and values.
We have interviewed our parents/grandparents and/or other family members to capture and record their experiences, knowledge, philosophy, and lessons they've learned.
We seek out valuable non-fiction and fictional literature that enlightens, empowers, and elevates our understanding of intellectual, social, professional, and personal pursuits.
We follow podcasts, YouTube channels, blogs, and other digital media that add to our intellect, understanding, and compassion.
We conduct Family Retreats With a Purpose (family outings, reunions, vacations, etc.) to teach our families the principles and skills we've acquired, as well as lessons from our family members and ancestors.
We maintain our family LLC (Lifetime Learning Commitment), investing time, energy, and money to gain wisdom and strive to make the learning greater than the experience.
We have recorded significant knowledge and defining moments in our lives and those of our parents/ancestors for the benefit of family and future generations.
We pass along our LLC by sharing our KASH (Knowledge, Attitudes, Skills, and Habits) with others.
We have outlined the Financial Dimension values that matter most to us on our family's Values & Vision Statement (e.g., hard work, long-term saving, prudent spending, charitable giving, etc.).
We deal "above the line," taking financial responsibility and accountability for ourselves and our loved ones.
We have a clear and realistic vision of how we will accomplish our financial goals and optimize our assets while adhering to true principles, employing proven strategies and concepts, and using the best tools available.
We invest time, money, and resources in financial education, learning from experts via books, digital media, etc.
We work with advisors, mentors, and/or coaches helping us achieve our vision for financial security.
We have learned the tax, legal, and "risk versus return" implications of the strategies we have employed to maximize financial assets for ourselves and our future generations.
We have a system, plan, or trust in place that cultivates and fosters responsibility and accountability for our loved ones, allowing them to grow through equal opportunities while having some "skin in the game."
We have a flexible asset optimization and tax minimization plan in place for ourselves and loved ones to maintain liquid assets safely earning returns (LASER Focus), i.e., our plan maximizes liquidity, safety, and rate of return while minimizing the negative impact of taxes, inflation, market volatility, and economic uncertainty.
Our financial and intellectual assets are protected from those who might seek to take advantage of what we have accumulated through frivolous lawsuits or unfounded claims. We have sufficient resources, assets, and/or insurance protection to sustain ourselves and our dependents for six months or more in the event of an emergency or financial setback.
We have established our KASH Blueprint (based on our Values & Vision Statement) that empowers our loved ones to improve their lives via the Family Bank.
We contribute generously and regularly to the charitable causes that align with our Values & Vision and strive to make our contribution greater than the rewards we receive.
We reinforce our Financial Dimension values, KASH Blueprint, and Family Bank approach regularly, at Family Retreats With a Purpose or other ongoing gatherings.
BONUS POINTS
We always make our purpose greater than our money and our cooperation greater than our status.
